BLESSED

Image
There are people who do not want to listen at all and would stop anybody talking right then and there even to the point of embarrassing the person. This is the worst case scenario but there are some who would be more polite by making excuses. These happen when we are not interested in what the other person has to say because we've heard    it before and it is just an endless repetition of the same old story. Or worst it could just be rumor mongering and the bottom line is just a matter of discrediting the other person for self glorification. Whether we are the one talking and being stopped, the one stopping the person from talking or the one making excuses not to listen is no longer important what matters most is the reason for our action. Today's 1st reading contains the best reason why we should not be stopped or stop another person from doing so. We are invited to enter into the divine light and joy of the Lord to share in his divine nature and light. Only thro...

TAP INTO IT

Image
We have to thank God for giving us the capacity to think and process information with our minds. It is such a wonderful gift that God has endowed human beings. Aside from this we are also given the human strength to hurdle the trials and difficulties that come our way. We always encounter people in print or in media who become famous and talked about because of the things they were able to do and accomplish that speak well of them. It is commonly attributed to the human spirit which enables us to withstand and overcome the seemingly impossible situations that come our way.    Today's 1st reading tells us a vital truth and information that we can all benefit from. If we are able to do things beyond what we expect already with who we are and what we have become then we are set for the biggest and most unbelievable surprise of our lives if we are to tap into the infinite wisdom and strength of God rather than just our own. Amen. Hallelujah! 1 Cor 1:17-25 ...the fooli...

NOT LACKING

Image
With all the shortages that affect the whole world and the different crises that we are all facing today we can't help it, if we feel insecure and afraid. Especially in times when we start to run out of resources, this usually happens to most of us these days. We must realize that there is only one thing needed and we have to make it our choice so that it will not be taken away from us. We need not be worried and anxious about a lot of things. As in Lk. 10:41-42, The Lord said to her in reply, "Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her." If we choose the right thing then we can claim all other things, as in Mt. 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness, and all these things will be given you besides." To top it all, we are assured in today's 1st reading that we are sufficient for God alone provides. They say experi...

LEVEL UP AND GO THROUH IT

Image
If we are truly desirous of making today's 1st reading a reality for us we should attain to the highest level of unity with the Holy Spirit. Whenever I encounter readings like one in today’s 1 st  reading that speak of the splendor of heaven what quickly comes to mind is the passage from 1 Cor.2:9 But as it is written: "What eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and what has not entered the human heart, what God has prepared for those who love him," Let us continuously work toward this goal and not lose sight of it. It may not yet be fully seen, heard and known of up to this present time but we hold on to God's word who have spoken and is able to make all things possible. It is very difficult to have a clear picture of how heaven looks like. The 1st reading today somehow gave a glimpse of it although it is never as accurate as it can possibly be. We can only guess and imagine for no one alive today has ever actually seen it. There were accounts of people who cla...

SPIRITUAL LAUNDRY

Image
We are urged to avail of every possible means in order to become holy. Let us always remind ourselves of how Jesus lived here on earth and do our best to follow His example. Amen. Hallelujah! 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3a, 14-17 ...15 Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught,...16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through his grace, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word. When we have an appointment or a schedule it requires us to make necessary preparation for it before the date itself. There are times when we have to go through stressful activities in order to meet some requirements that go with it. This should make us think all the more of the greatest appointment we have to face on that final day and act in accordance to the demand of the inevitability and reality of this day. How much more are we supposed to prepare ...

PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

Image
It is undeniable that each one of us is created by God. We are all unique and God has called us for a reason and a purpose. Today's 1st reading encourages us to live consciously this truth in our lives. We have to stop living as if life just come and go without realizing that we have to exert effort in giving glory to God through a purpose driven life. We are urged to avail of every possible means in order to become holy. Let us always remind ourselves of how Jesus lived here on earth and do our best to follow His example. Amen. Hallelujah! 2 Thessalonians 1:1-5, 11-12 ...3 We ought to thank God always for  you, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith flourishes ever more, and the love of every one of you for one another grows ever greater. 4 Accordingly, we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God regarding your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and the afflictions you endure...We always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and po...

THE NARROW PATH

Image
We should always lift everything to God in prayers. It is in doing so that we learn the path to victory and true happiness. We are all desirous of achieving our plans and goals in life but nothing will truly bear fruit if we do not put God in the center of everything we do. We can not push God to the side and just pull Him over whenever we feel like it. God should take the center stage and we must learn to give way to Him not because God is egotistic and demands our obedience in a very oppressing way. It is only because of the truth that only God can bring us to the genuine happiness and true success that we all long for. There is no other way but God’s way. Amen. Hallelujah! Isaiah 66:18-21 ...they shall proclaim my glory among the nations. We find in the story of Paul that he eventually regained his eyesight and started proclaiming Jesus as the Son of God. Wherever we're coming from we should strive to follow his example of groping for the truth about the light while he was in da...
